Update #2 · Latest ·
RECOVERY - Task Order awarded for the Efficient Small Scale Propulsion (ESSP) Core Engine Demonstrator Design and Risk Reduction which obligates Recovery Act funding. The objective of the task order is to develop designs and perform risk reduction assessments for small versatile core engine concept that can be adapted to perform a wide range of military missions. The contract was solicited and awarded competitively using competitive procedures which resulted in award of 15 contracts. This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price contract type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract.
