About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology, a component of the Department of Commerce, seeks to procure one real-time spectrum analyzer on a firm-fixed-price basis with proposals due June 22, 2026. The procurement is unrestricted, with no set-aside applied.
Place of performance is Boulder, Colorado (325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305). The analyzer must support research in ultrastable microwave signal development and perform signal characterization across frequencies from sub-MHz to tens of GHz. Minimum technical specifications include input frequency range of at least 10 kHz to 26.5 GHz, 50-ohm input impedance with N-type, SMA, or 3.5 mm connector, minimum 1 Hz resolution and video bandwidth, real-time spectrum analysis bandwidth of at least 80 MHz, CW input power capability up to at least 25 dBm, external 10 MHz referencing capability, USB or GPIB communication interface, self-contained signal display, and displayed average noise level of −143 dBm/Hz or lower.
Delivery, installation, and training must be completed within twelve weeks after receipt of order, with government acceptance testing planned for seven business days. Payment terms are Net 30. The applicable NAICS code is 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals) with a small business size standard of 750 employees.
