About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a task order valued at $678,262 to L3 Harris Technologies Integrated Systems on September 25, 2025, under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001924G0004 for reach back support services related to the E-6B Mercury Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) upgrade effort. The contract covers engineering, logistical, and technical support services spanning calendar years 2025 through 2027, including correction of APU kit deficiencies, updates to drawings and work orders, and implementation of supplier changes to the APU installation technical data package. This sole-source procurement was authorized under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) based on L3 Harris's status as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APU integration kit, with the government determining that no other vendor could satisfy agency requirements without causing unacceptable delays to the E-6B Block II upgrade schedule and negatively impacting fleet readiness.
