Added: January 28, 2008 This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov , Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ . While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane Division. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division Web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm . The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division plans to solicit a proposal with intent to contract Indiana University on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, to develop novel technology for the detection of chem/bio agents using IMS/MS/DESI hybrid technology as set forth in the Statement of Objectives of the Request for Proposal. A cost reimbursement type R&D contract is anticipated, with a one year period of performance. Numbered Note 22 applies. DPAS rating is DO-A70.
