The Department of Veteran Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, Police Service requires the use of a Firing Range for quarterly handgun qualification of approximately 23 VA Police Officers. This is to meet the firearms requirements outlined in VA Directive 0720, VA Directive 0730, VA Handbook 0730, and VA Law Enforcement Training Center Training Unit #18. The range must be established range. This RFQ is not a request to build a range. The VA Police Service is required to qualify with assigned weapons twice a year. VA Police are also required to conduct tactical training twice a year. In order to meet these requirements officers must qualify with their assigned handguns on a quarterly basis. The range shall be within a 40 mile radius of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Contractor shall provide unlimited use of the range to include Range Control Instructions to explain how to operate the range, target holders/stands, along with any other special instructions in order to properly operate the range.
