About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force, specifically United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa, is seeking an administrative support contractor for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. The contract will require an Administrative Assistant to provide 25-30 hours per week of support at the Military and Family Readiness Center, with responsibilities including coordinating pre-separation counseling, managing TAP workshops, scheduling Capstone appointments, and maintaining comprehensive records for separating service members. This is a pre-solicitation Request for Information (RFI) issued by the 48th Contracting Squadron to conduct market research and identify potential service providers. Interested companies are requested to submit electronic responses by April 9, 2025, at 1200 London Time, providing details about their capabilities, descriptive literature, and firm information. The government emphasizes that this RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to award a contract.

The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation and is currently a recompete contract with a known incumbent contractor supporting the requirement. The current contract is set to end on September 29, 2025, with plans to award a new contract no later than mid-August to allow for proper onboarding. The administrative assistant position is explicitly required to be on-site and cannot be performed remotely, which may impact potential bidders' ability to provide services. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the documents, the contract will cover administrative support services categorized under NAICS code 561110 for Office Administrative Services. The procurement process will involve careful evaluation of respondents' capabilities, with a focus on identifying firms that can meet the specific on-site administrative support requirements for the TAP program at RAF Lakenheath.
