About this opportunity

The United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFSA) is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of supplying CX3000 radio testers compatible with CM300/350 radios for use in the United Kingdom. This pre-solicitation notice seeks to determine vendor availability and credentials for specialized radio test equipment that must comply with Air Force Technical Orders (TO) and AFFSA testing requirements. The market research is purely informational and not a formal request for quotes or proposals. Interested vendors are required to submit their capability statements or credentials by 12:00AM GMT on February 24, 2025, via email to calin.moloiu.gb@us.af.mil. The procurement falls under the Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals NAICS category (334515) and the Electrical and Electronic Properties Measuring and Testing Instruments PSC category (6625).

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for this procurement, suggesting it will be open to all qualified vendors. While the notice does not specify potential award values or precise quantities of radio test equipment needed, it clearly targets vendors with specific authorization to provide CX3000 radio testers. The geographic scope is limited to vendors capable of supplying equipment in the United Kingdom, which may restrict the potential contractor pool. The procurement timeline suggests a relatively near-term acquisition process, with the sources sought notice posted on February 12, 2025, and responses due by February 23, 2025. The involvement of Air Forces Europe and Africa implies this could be part of a broader strategic equipment procurement initiative for military communication infrastructure.
