About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure rack electronics and similar replacement parts, specifically for NSN 0O-0098-LLH7E8887 with a quantity of 47 units. The proposed contract action intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, either via online ASSIST-Quick Search or by contacting their help desk. The government will consider all proposals received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), with the ultimate determination of competition being solely at the government's discretion. Potential vendors must be prepared to provide detailed capability statements or proposals demonstrating their ability to meet the specific technical requirements.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for the procurement. The contract does not appear to be utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, though vendors may still identify commercial item capabilities within 15 days of the notice. Delivery is specified as FOB Origin, and the total quantity is relatively small at 47 units. The technical data package (TDP) version 001 and reference number M1000115 provide additional context for the procurement. While no specific award value is mentioned, the specialized nature of rack electronics and replacement parts suggests this could be a targeted, technical procurement with precise specifications. The solicitation is open until May 7, 2025, providing potential vendors approximately two months to prepare and submit their responses or capability statements.
