About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking contractor support to assess insecticide resistance status of mosquito species and support pathogen detection and sentinel surveillance operations in Oman. This work will be performed by the Vector Biology Research program (VBRP) under the US Naval Medical Research Unit EURAFCENT (NAMRU-EAC). The deadline for such notifications is July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM Naples, Italy time.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and appears to be a full and open competition despite the stated sole source intent. The intended contractor is the medical entomology working team at the VBRP, NAMRU-EAC detachment in Cairo, Egypt, which suggests this organization may be the incumbent or has specialized expertise in vector biology research. No specific award values, budget ranges, or contract quantities are provided in the notice.
