About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, California is procuring radar transceivers (Part Number QBX-343537A0NAW007) through a sole-source procurement with QuinStar Technology, Incorporated. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the agency's intent to award the contract to QuinStar as the sole capable vendor for this direct replacement part, though the notice invites other interested firms to submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement. Interested parties must submit written responses by November 10, 2025—five days after the publication date of November 3, 2025—referencing solicitation number N6893626Q5025 and clearly documenting their experience, assets, background, and capacity to perform the work while maintaining quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule adherence. All responding firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at sam.gov, with all new registrations and updates requiring a notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator within 30 days of registration. Responses should be directed to donell.e.duenassims.civ@us.navy.mil, and all responsible sources are subject to standard federal contracting evaluation procedures.
This procurement involves no set-aside designation and is being pursued on an other than full and open competitive basis due to QuinStar Technology, Incorporated's established sole-source capability. The requirement specifies a quantity of five units of the replacement transceiver component. No specific award value or total contract budget is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 5840 (Radar Equipment, Except Airborne), indicating the specialized nature of the equipment being sought. Given the direct replacement part designation and sole-source justification, this contract is expected to proceed quickly following the November 10 response deadline, with award anticipated in the near term pending receipt and evaluation of any competing capability statements.
