This is a sole source requirement that is proprietary to Life Technologies No other supplies or services have been identified that will satisfy the government's needs The agency's minimum requirements are for a 7 Real-Time PCR System to analyze samples for the presence of specific DNA sequences for the detection of genetically-engineered grain. it allows us to use existing protocols, reagents, consumables that have been acquired for the outgoing instrument by the same manufacturer. It shall contain the following features:
An OptiFlexTM System which combines 6 excitation (450- 670nm) and 6 emission (500-720 nm) filter sets to enable collection of up to 21 unique combinations of wavelengths during a single run for multiplexing.
Four (4) user-interchangeable blocks to accommodate 96-well, Fast 96-well low volume, 384-well plates or TaqManTM Array Cards. No service visits or recalibration are necessary after a block change.
User-interchangeable blocks are accessible from the front of the instrument to maximize bench space and provide tool-free block exchange capability.
User-interchangeable light source that is readily accessible and can be replaced from the front of the instrument.
Available with a robotic arm capable of loading and unloading reaction plates. The resulting integrated unit is designed to provide unattended instrument operation for up to 110 384-well reaction plates, 100 TaqMan Array Microfluidic Cards, 50 96-well plates or 60 Fast 96-well plates.
