About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified contractors capable of providing Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) staffing services at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The procurement seeks four full-time positions: two Registered Respiratory Therapists and two Registered Respiratory Therapists with Polysomnographer qualifications. Personnel must possess RRT certification, advanced cardiac life support certification, a minimum of two years of experience, sleep technology credentials, and must meet strict clinical competency requirements including polysomnography, respiratory care, and patient monitoring capabilities. This is currently a market research phase with no formal evaluation criteria established; however, interested contractors must submit written responses by December 22, 2025 at 12:00 PM PST via email to solly.kim@va.gov, including company information, a UEI number, contact details, and a capability statement demonstrating relevant experience with similar services.

This procurement does not include a set-aside designation at the pre-solicitation stage; however, if the VA's market research identifies two or more qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), the anticipated solicitation may be set aside exclusively for veteran-owned businesses. No incumbent contractor or award value has been disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials. The contract is anticipated to run for a base period with four option years, spanning from March 16, 2026 through March 15, 2031. The procurement falls under NAICS code 561320 (Temporary Help Services) and Product Service Code Q521 (Medical Pulmonary), with performance to occur at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Long Beach, California.
