About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to modify IDIQ 36C25726D0033 with ProPath Services, LLC, increasing the contract ceiling by $6 million and adding the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System to the scope, with a four-calendar-day response window ending June 13, 2026. This is a notice of intent to sole-source the modification to the incumbent contractor; the contracting office will accept capability statements, proposals, or quotations from all responsible sources through the response deadline to determine whether a comparable vendor exists that would be more advantageous to the government, but absent affirmative written response, the modification will proceed without further notice.

The modification authorizes firm-fixed-price combined reference laboratory testing services for both the VA North Texas Healthcare System in Dallas, Texas, and the newly added Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Temple, Texas. Services include eight pathology and laboratory testing line items identified by CPT codes 88305 through 88365, encompassing tissue biopsy consultation, surgical pathology examination, immunofluorescence procedures, immunohistochemistry staining, in situ hybridization, morphometric analysis, and IHC with reflex to FISH studies. The contracting office justifies the modification on an immediate operational need and lack of testing availability under the existing national contract. Delphia Schoenfeld is the contracting officer (delphia.schoenfeld@va.gov, 210-417-7495). The contract carries NAICS 621511 (Medical Laboratories) and PSC Q301 (Reference Laboratory Testing).
