About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 19 (Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center) is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of providing artificial intelligence-based testing for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment planning. The service will support the Rocky Mountain Regional VAMC in Aurora, Colorado, and must align with National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines and oncology clinical practice standards. The AI-based testing is intended to identify patients with localized prostate cancer who are at risk of metastasis and those who would benefit from combination radiation and Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT). Interested parties are required to submit capability statements detailing relevant experience, technical capabilities, certifications, and accreditations by January 5, 2026, at 8 AM Mountain Time. While formal evaluation criteria have not been explicitly outlined in this pre-solicitation notice, the government will assess submissions based on demonstrated technical capabilities, relevant experience, and applicable qualifications to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement.

This source sought notice does not constitute a formal solicitation and therefore does not commit the government to any contract award. No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement at this time, meaning it may be competed as full and open competition or potentially set aside for small businesses in the subsequent formal solicitation. No incumbent contractor, budget range, or specific award value has been identified in the materials provided. The contracting officer anticipates a single award and has indicated that services will be provided on a cost-per-test basis, though specific pricing information and volume projections are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. This market research effort will inform the government's determination of the final acquisition approach and contract structure for the prostate cancer AI testing requirement.
