About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 58 Q-Band Controllers (NSN 7G-5999-016007486) through a pre-solicitation notice for repair and modification. The contract involves a specific technical data package (TDP VER 003) for delivery to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. Interested companies can express their interest by completing a Vendor Interest Form on the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal, though current approval as a government source is not required for proposal submission. The government intends to potentially negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, but will consider all proposals received within 45 days of publication. Potential offerors can obtain relevant technical specifications and documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) using online or mail-based request methods.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, focusing on electrical and electronic components within Product Service Code 5999. The specific item being procured is a Q-Band Controller, H416146-1 model, with a quantity of 58 units. While the pre-solicitation notice does not specify a precise award value, it indicates the government is not pursuing acquisition under FAR Part 12 commercial item policies. Interested parties have 15 days to identify potential commercial item solutions to the contracting officer. The delivery location is specified as W25G1U, W1A8 DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002, with a proposal response deadline of May 12, 2025. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received.
