About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking power electronic modification services for the repair and modification of NSN 7H-6110-016487160, TDP VER 004. The procurement involves electrical control equipment under PSC category 6110, with the government intending to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority due to data rights limitations. The government does not own the technical data or rights needed to contract with additional sources, and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase these rights or reverse engineer the components. All interested firms must include their Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code on solicitation requests, and responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice publication date of July 24, 2025. The due date for responses is August 25, 2025, and firms have 15 days to identify capability to satisfy requirements with commercial items.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a sole-source acquisition. The contract requires delivery of 14 units on an FOB origin basis, indicating the contractor will be responsible for shipping costs and risk of loss until goods reach the destination. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice. The government has conducted market research and determined that FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition policies will not be applied to this solicitation. While the notice indicates this is not a request for competitive proposals, the government retains discretion to determine whether to proceed competitively based on responses received within the 45-day window.
