About this opportunity

The General Services Administration (GSA) Assisted Acquisition Services, acting on behalf of the Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC), is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing one 40-foot high cube open side shipping container. The container must feature fully open sides to accommodate forklift access for loading and unloading oversized materials and equipment, some exceeding 20 feet in length. Vendors must be U.S. or qualifying country suppliers that comply with the Buy American Act and DFARS 252.225-7001 requirements. The procurement will be structured as an Other Direct Cost under an existing contract arrangement. Responses to this Request for Information must be submitted electronically to Contracting Officer Michael Levy and Contract Specialist Ashley Czyzewski by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 24, 2025. All submitted information must remain unclassified, and vendors are requested to provide estimated pricing and delivery timeframes.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualifying vendors. The container will be purchased under the current contract held by Excet, Inc (Contract 47QFMA20A0001, Task Order 47QFMA24F0003), indicating Excet serves as the prime contractor through which this procurement will be executed. The government seeks to acquire exactly one storage container that meets the specified technical requirements outlined in the attached engineering drawings. The procurement timeline appears expedited, with only seven days allocated between the posting date of September 17, 2025, and the response deadline of September 24, 2025. The government emphasizes this is strictly a market research exercise and does not guarantee a future solicitation or procurement commitment. No specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in the available documentation.
