About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Aircraft Cooling Turbines used on MH60T Aircraft, with specific National Stock Number 1660-01-161-8524 and part number 70309-23815-101. The agency seeks suppliers who can provide parts with clear traceability to Original Equipment Manufacturers Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation or Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, though alternate sources may be considered. Interested businesses must respond to a comprehensive set of questions regarding their company size, NAICS classification, business certifications, and government contracting experience. Responses are due by April 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST, and must be submitted via email to MRR-PROCUREMENT@uscg.mil with the specific reference number 70Z03825IJ0000045 in the subject line. The market research is a preliminary step, and responding to this sources sought synopsis does not guarantee inclusion in a future solicitation or contract award.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, though it seeks detailed information about business size and certifications. No specific contract award value or precise quantity of cooling turbines was disclosed in the notice. The USCG is interested in understanding the market's capacity to supply these specialized aircraft components, with particular attention to suppliers' existing government contracts, GSA schedule listings, and experience with similar products. Potential respondents are required to provide comprehensive details about their business, including employee count, NAICS codes, minority or disadvantaged business status, and references from other government agency users. The agency emphasizes that this sources sought notice is purely for market research and planning purposes, and any future solicitation will be published on SAM.gov, requiring a separate formal response from interested contractors.
