About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure repair and modification services for sewage pumping units under National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-4630-014125270. This pre-solicitation notice invites qualified vendors to express their interest in competing for the contract opportunity, with companies not currently approved as sources encouraged to complete a Vendor Interest Form through the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal. The government has determined that it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, meaning contractors must work within existing specifications and technical documentation. Interested parties can access Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, Qualified Products Lists, and other standardized documents through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at the Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or through ASSIST-Online. The deadline for responses is April 6, 2026, providing potential bidders with approximately seven weeks to prepare their proposals and gather necessary technical documentation.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and involves a requirement for 35 units with delivery on a free-on-board (FOB) origin basis. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractor or current service provider, nor does it specify an award value or budget range for the contract action. The government explicitly states that the award decision will not be delayed to accommodate approval of non-approved sources, indicating that contracts will be awarded to currently qualified vendors on the established timeline. Technical questions or requests for additional documentation can be directed to the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk via telephone at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179 (DSN: 442-2667), with mailing options also available for those without internet access.
