About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure four window washer pumps classified under NSN 7R-1680-145678340-P8. This is a flight-critical component that requires Government source approval prior to contract award, with delivery FOB origin. Only previously approved sources have been solicited due to the specialized nature of the item and the fact that technical data adequacy for full and open competition has not been established. Companies not currently approved as sources must submit comprehensive documentation per NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochures, including technical data based on their production experience with the same or similar items. The due date for responses is October 9, 2025, and offers that fail to provide required source approval documentation will not be considered for award.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is categorized under PSC 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components. The Government retains rights to technical data and indicates the data package is complete with no technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing restrictions. The quantity required is four units, and the timeline for Government source approval evaluation may impact award decisions if processing cannot be completed in time to meet operational requirements. No specific contract value or incumbent contractor information is provided in the notice, though the specialized approval process suggests this is likely a sole-source or limited competition procurement based on previous Government approvals.
