About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 171 Centrifugal Pump Units (NSN 7H-4320-013622973) with Technical Data Package Version 006, to be delivered FOB Origin. This is a non-competitive procurement under FAR 6.302-1, where the government intends to negotiate with a single source due to specific technical data and manufacturing/repair constraints. All interested firms are required to include their CAGE Code on solicitation requests, and the government will consider proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The procurement is not using FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition policies, and potential vendors have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. Interested parties can obtain required specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via various methods including online access or direct contact.
This pre-solicitation notice does not have a specific set-aside designation and does not identify incumbent contractors. The contract involves a precise technical requirement for a specific pump unit that cannot be easily sourced from alternative manufacturers due to technical data limitations. The quantity is fixed at 171 units, with delivery expected at the origin point. The procurement may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and is governed by specific Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses related to trade agreements. The contract will be awarded through the Naval Supply Systems Command, which falls under the Department of Defense, with the Product Service Code (PSC) categorized under Power and Hand Pumps (4320-P). While no specific award value is disclosed, the technical complexity and specific sourcing requirements suggest a specialized and potentially high-value procurement.
