About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring a fuel metering pump (NSN 7H-2910-016841539) under a single-source procurement authority per FAR 6.302-1. This contract action is for engine fuel system components classified under PSC 2910. All responsible sources are permitted to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to demonstrate their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Government does not possess the data or rights necessary to purchase or contract repair of this part from additional sources, and reverse engineering has been deemed uneconomical. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on August 11, 2024, with a due date of November 5, 2025, providing interested parties an extended timeframe to prepare their submissions. Prospective offerors should include their CAGE code on all solicitation requests and may access relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and Qualified Products Lists through the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online.
This procurement is conducted without a set-aside designation, allowing any qualified contractor to compete. The Government seeks six units of the specified fuel metering pump on a firm fixed-price basis with delivery FOB Origin. The notice indicates that proposals received within 45 days (or 30 days if award is issued earlier) will be considered, establishing a compressed evaluation timeline. No specific incumbent contractor or current supplier is identified in this pre-solicitation notice. Interested parties requiring additional technical documentation, patterns, drawings, or purchase descriptions should contact the DoD Single Stock Point in Philadelphia at 215-697-2667 or access available documents through ASSIST-Quick Search. The single-source procurement approach indicates the Government's preference for an identified capable source, though the open call for capability statements allows qualified firms to demonstrate their suitability for award.
