About this opportunity

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking a commercial telecommunications service to establish and maintain a 1GB Ethernet lease line connecting two buildings: one located at 4848 Lambs Knoll Road in Boonsboro, MD, and another at 1668 Porter Street in Fort Detrick, MD. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process, which means the contract will be awarded to the technically compliant offer with the lowest price. The solicitation is being issued under NAICS code 517111 for Wired Telecommunications Carriers, with a product service code of DG11. Vendors must submit quotes with monthly recurring and/or non-recurring charges, following the instructions in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212 series of clauses. The quote submission deadline is January 21, 2025, and the evaluation will be based on specific criteria detailed in the attached solicitation documents.

There is no small business set-aside for this procurement, meaning all qualified vendors can compete. The contract will involve providing, installing, and maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure between the specified locations, with the expectation of establishing a reliable network connection. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, vendors will need to provide pricing for the telecommunications service as part of their quote. The place of performance spans the two Maryland locations mentioned, with work to be completed in building demarc rooms and associated spaces. The procurement follows standard commercial product and service terms, incorporating various FAR provisions that outline the contractual expectations and requirements for potential vendors. The contract aims to establish a robust and cost-effective telecommunications link between these two government facilities.
