About this opportunity
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking a telecommunications service provider to establish and maintain a 1GB Ethernet network connection between two specific locations: Building 275 at 275 Bank Street in Ottawa, Canada, and Building 10690 at Enduring Freedom Drive in Fort Drum, New York. This Request for Quote (RFQ) is classified under NAICS code 517111 for Wired Telecommunications Carriers and will utilize a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) source selection process to evaluate submissions. The solicitation is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and services, prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6 and incorporating standard federal acquisition regulations. Quotes are due by May 8, 2025, with pricing to be identified as monthly recurring and/or non-recurring charges. The procurement will follow specific commercial products and services terms and conditions, including FAR clauses related to instructions, representations, and contract terms.
The solicitation is not designated as a small business set-aside, meaning all qualified vendors can compete for the contract. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract requires detailed pricing for network service implementation and maintenance between the two specified locations. The service must be a complete 1GB Ethernet connection with installation at the building demarc (demarcation point) on the first floor of the Ottawa location and room 158 of the Fort Drum building. The product and service code for this telecommunications requirement is DG11, indicating a specialized network access service. Contractors will need to demonstrate technical capability to provide a continuous, reliable network connection across an international border, connecting a Canadian and a U.S. military facility. The contract appears to be structured for ongoing service with monthly recurring charges, suggesting a potential multi-year commitment for maintaining the critical telecommunications infrastructure.
