About this opportunity

The Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Military Communications & Position, Navigation, and Timing (MNPNT) has issued a Special Notice for the Protected Tactical SATCOM - Global (PTS-G) program. This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to assess industry's technical maturity and help refine the specific technical requirements related to the PTS-G program, which focuses on developing communications satellites with greater maneuverability and smaller size compared to traditional Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites.

The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from interested contractors that are capable of supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) effort to launch and maintain these advanced communications satellites. Key details include a due date for responses, which must be emailed to the provided points of contact. The government plans to hold an Industry Day in mid-June 2024, and is not seeking proposals at this time, but rather conducting market research. Contractors must self-validate their status as a DoD contractor and include a contract number as part of their response. The RFI and related documents are available on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) website.
