About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting quotations for a tail light (P/N 6490831, NSN 6220-14-562-8754) for MH-65 helicopters, with quotations due November 12, 2026. This is a restricted, brand-name requirement: the justification limits the award to OEM J P C Aviation (CAGE F7581), and all parts must carry clear traceability to that OEM. No set-aside is used. The solicitation is a request for quotation issued under FAR subpart 12.6 for commercial items.
Delivery is F.O.B. Destination to the Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, with a requested delivery date of December 1, 2026. The base quantity is 14 units. Under FAR 52.217-6, as tailored, the Government may add up to 16 units at the unit price, for a maximum of 30, by written notice within one calendar year after purchase order award. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated.
Items must be new, manufactured by the OEM or an OEM-approved source, and match the exact part numbers on the requirements schedule. Contractors must provide a Certificate of Conformance under FAR 52.246-15, maintain full traceability, and comply with FAA airworthiness documentation requirements. Each item must be individually packed with internal labels showing NSN, part number, serial number, quantity, nomenclature, and delivery order information. Packaging may not use popcorn, shredded paper, Styrofoam, or peanut material.
No dollar value or budget is stated. Quotations must hold prices firm for 60 calendar days. Award goes to the lowest-priced offeror rated technically acceptable. If the lowest-priced offer fails technical acceptability, the Government moves to the next lowest-priced offer. Quantity and prompt payment discounts are included in price evaluation, and prices are evaluated for fair and reasonableness. No technical weighting applies. The applicable NAICS code is 336413, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The PSC is 6220. No incumbent is named.
