About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard seeks to procure rubber coated material for use on MH-65 helicopters, with quotations due October 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. This is a sole-source procurement anticipated to be awarded to Aero Rubber Co Inc. (Cage Code 64665) on a firm-fixed-price basis; the Coast Guard's justification cites aircraft and crew safety risks from sourcing outside the OEM.
Place of performance and delivery is the Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The requirement is for 25 yards of Vitonnomex 7 OZ black material, part number ARC57242 (NSN 1560-01-HS1-9569), with thickness of 0.078" ± 0.016" trimmed to 36.000" width. Delivery is scheduled for November 16, 2026. All parts must have clear, complete, documented, and auditable traceability to Aero Rubber Co Inc. as the OEM through an approved source chain.
FAR 52.217-6 Option for Increased Quantity applies; the Government may increase the quantity for Line Item 1 by up to 25 yards at the unit price specified, to a maximum of 50 yards total, exercisable within one calendar year of purchase order award.
Quotations must include a completed Requirements document (Attachment 1) with unit prices and must be held firm for 60 calendar days from receipt of offers date. All quotations must comply with Buy American requirements, quality control and risk management processes, Certificate of Conformance requirements, and specified packaging (excluding popcorn, shredded paper, Styrofoam, and peanut packing). Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination; shipping costs are included in offers unless F.O.B. Origin is specified with estimated shipping costs provided. NAICS code is 336413 (small business size standard 1,250 employees); PSC code is 1560.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 70Z03827QB0000007 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect as of November 28, 2025, IAW the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO).
The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 336413. The small business size standard is 1,250 employees. This is a restricted requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
