About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair and modification of a processor for VSLED (NSN 7R-1680-016336993-V2) with a response deadline of October 2, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement restricted to Government-approved sources due to flight-critical application status and the absence of adequate technical data to support full and open competition.

The procurement calls for 60 units with delivery FOB origin. The part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain quality. Only sources previously approved by the Government have been solicited. The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing and repair knowledge, and technical data that are not economically available to the Government and are essential to maintaining part quality.

Unapproved sources may submit a proposal together with source approval information per NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) procedures. Alternate sources must qualify in accordance with design control activity procedures and obtain Government engineering activity approval. The qualification timeline typically does not permit award delay pending new source approval.

Technical data submission is required based on company experience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item the company has never manufactured. Source approval information brochures are available on the NAVSUP WSS website under Business Opportunities for both spares and repair categories.

PSC code 1680 (Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components). No set-aside applies.
