About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base has issued a Special Notice for a sole source procurement of temperature sensors and probes manufactured by DWYEROMEGA. This Synopsis of Contract Action (SOCA) announces the Air Force Test Center's intent to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Omega Engineering, Inc. for 107 specialized temperature measurement components. The procurement includes various RTD sensors, temperature probes with insulated lead wire, thermocouple assemblies, and temperature monitors required for operations at Edwards AFB. The contract falls under NAICS code 334513 with a size standard of 750 employees and covers pressure, temperature, and humidity measuring instruments. The Air Force has determined that only one source is reasonably available for these specific technical requirements.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform industry of the Air Force's procurement intent and potentially identify other qualified sources and their business size classifications. Interested vendors who believe they can meet the specified requirements must submit a complete technical package with clear evidence of their capability, along with required representations and certifications under FAR 52.212-3. All responses must be submitted in writing with sufficient detail for government evaluation and include any special commercial contract requirements such as financing, warranty, or delivery terms. The submission deadline is 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on June 20, 2025, to Contracting Officer Terence Vickers at Edwards AFB. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov to be considered compliant, and the Air Force emphasizes this is not a formal solicitation but rather a market survey to assess potential sources.
