About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure an Automatic D Printer (NSN 7H-7025-016419449) with a quantity of 29 units, to be delivered FOB Origin. The procurement is a pre-solicitation notice for repair/modification of a specialized technical component, with strict sourcing requirements defined by DoD-STD-100 standards. The government intends to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (until April 4, 2025) to submit proposals, capability statements, or expressions of interest. While the procurement is not explicitly requesting competitive proposals, the government will consider all submissions received within the specified timeframe.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. The procurement is subject to potential Free Trade Agreements, as evidenced by possible inclusion of DFARS clauses 252.225-7036 and 252.225-7021. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the notice. Unique aspects of this procurement include strict technical data package requirements and limited availability of government data rights for the specific printer component. Potential vendors are directed to obtain necessary specifications and standards from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, with multiple methods of document access provided, including online ASSIST-Quick Search and direct contact with the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk.
