About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking sources for Precision Pressure Calibrators through a Sources Sought Notice issued on May 20, 2025. This pre-solicitation opportunity targets manufacturers of specialized pressure calibration equipment for shore-based Navy laboratories, with a focus on systems capable of calibrating pressure transducers and indicators across a wide range of pneumatic pressures from -14.5 to 10,000 psig. Interested vendors must provide their technical capabilities and possess a DLA JCP certification number to access the full Calibration Standards Specification (CSS) document. The technical requirements are comprehensive, demanding precise performance specifications, environmental tolerances, and specific design standards for the calibration equipment. Vendors must submit their technical capabilities by June 5, 2025, which serves as the response deadline for this sources sought notice.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors in the Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334513). The calibration system must meet stringent technical requirements, including operational reliability of 10,000 hours, functionality within 0-50°C temperature ranges, and advanced features like automated contamination prevention and smart transducer technology. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical specifications suggest a high-value procurement targeting sophisticated measurement and calibration equipment. The document originates from the Measurement Science and Engineering Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Corona, California, and is marked with Distribution C, limiting access to approved U.S. Government agencies and contractors. Potential vendors will need to demonstrate advanced engineering capabilities and compliance with the comprehensive technical specifications outlined in the CSS document.
