About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Procurement Operations intends to issue a sole source extension of up to six months to the current contract for protective security officer (PSO) services in the Southern New Jersey area, excluding several northern counties. The extension from December 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025 will allow time to award and transition the follow-on effort for these services. The government plans to negotiate the extension with the current contractor, CDA, Inc. DBA MaxSent, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304 (a)(l) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, as the agency has determined that MaxSent is the only responsible source that can provide the required services. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and a Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be made available.
The contract opportunity is set aside for small businesses, and the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services) with a $29 million size standard. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted to sam.gov following the award of the sole source extension to MaxSent, the current incumbent contractor.
