About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Atmospheric Early Warning System (AEWS) Program Management Office intends to solicit and award a single five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for production and installation of 55-foot composite radome assemblies. The contract will cover 27 operational sites located in Alaska, Canada, and Hawaii, with an additional engineering facility at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Potential contractors must demonstrate expertise in manufacturing and installing radomes, with capabilities for spare parts, data deliverables, site travel, shipping, training material development, and legacy radome disposal. Interested vendors are required to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations by June 10, 2025, with all inquiries directed to christopher.jarman@us.af.mil and cameron.tucker.6@us.af.mil. The procurement will use NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $34 Million.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for small businesses, though the size standard suggests small business participation is welcome. The total expected ordering period is seven years, consisting of an initial five-year contract with a two-year option period. Specific task and delivery order quantities will be identified after the base ID/IQ contract award, with individual performance periods defined for each order. A previous Sources Sought notice in February 2024 already identified potential prime and subcontractors capable of meeting the contract requirements. While precise award values are not specified, the comprehensive scope of work includes radome production, installation, training, and disposal across multiple geographic locations, suggesting a significant potential contract value for the selected vendor.
