About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure power transmission components (NSN 2520-01-661-8744, Part Number 12577813) through a competitive acquisition process. This pre-solicitation notice indicates that a formal solicitation is expected to post to SAM.gov on or about April 14, 2026, with a current notice due date of June 3, 2026. A critical requirement for interested vendors is certification under the United States/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP), which is mandatory to access the Technical Data Package (TDP) containing source-controlled components and manufacturer specifications. The TDP access is restricted exclusively to certified Data Custodians under the JCP, with certification requiring submission of DD Form 2345 and supporting documentation through mail (not fax or email), a process typically requiring up to one week. Prospective contractors should register on SAM.gov immediately and follow this notice to be added to the Interested Vendors List to remain informed of further updates and the formal solicitation posting.
This acquisition carries no set-aside designation and will result in a five-year long-term contract award. The procurement requires a minimum quantity of four units with a maximum quantity of 138 units, with delivery on an FOB Destination basis and MIL-A packaging standards. No incumbent contractor or current award value information is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. Interested vendors should note that the formal solicitation will contain the complete terms, conditions, and actual closing date, and all documentation will be available through the Contract Opportunities section of SAM.gov once posted. Companies should prioritize JCP certification and SAM.gov registration to ensure timely access to solicitation materials and the ability to submit competitive proposals.
