About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation seeks to procure 19 units of power supply equipment under NSN 7R-6130-012027175-VH, in accordance with reference number 70550-02025-103. This procurement is restricted to sources specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by DoD-STD-100, as the government lacks suitable technical data, data rights, or manufacturing knowledge to permit acquisition from alternative sources. The agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one qualified source due to these technical data limitations and the inability to economically obtain the necessary documentation for broader competition. Interested parties can access military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia or via ASSIST-Online. The opportunity has a posted date of July 11, 2025, with responses due by October 7, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and falls under the PSC category for Converters, Electrical, Nonrotating (PSC 6130). The contract specifies delivery terms as FOB Origin for the 19 units of power supply equipment required. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The restrictive sourcing approach stems from the specialized nature of the equipment and the government's determination that qualification testing of alternative parts or use of second source components would not be feasible for the intended application. The single-source procurement strategy reflects the technical constraints and data rights limitations that prevent competitive sourcing for this specific military power supply requirement.
