About this opportunity
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Tanzania is seeking proposals for a 5-year contract to implement proven, evidence-based vector control approaches to reduce the overall malaria burden and move Tanzania closer to malaria elimination. The key contract components include: (1) insecticide-treated mosquito net distribution, (2) social and behavior change activities to promote net use and other vector control interventions, (3) using data from entomological surveillance to provide technical guidance and develop plans for modified or new vector control approaches, and (4) capacity strengthening of government institutions responsible for medical supply distribution. Proposals are due by September 16, 2024.
This contract opportunity is not set aside for any special designation. The incumbent contractor is Johns Hopkins University, and USAID anticipates awarding a single Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract with an estimated total level of effort of 24,700 days over the 5-year period. The place of performance is Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
