About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the upcoming Air-Launched Weapons Aircraft Integration Summit (ALWAIS) 2025, hosted by the Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201) and Air Test & Evaluation Squadron Twenty-Three (VX-23). This special notice serves as planning notification only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, proposals, or quotes. The announcement explicitly states that no solicitation documents currently exist and that the government has made no commitment to contract for any items or services. The RFI was posted on September 2, 2025, with responses due by September 23, 2025. This initiative is conducted on behalf of the Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons and Navy Test Wing Atlantic.

The primary objective of ALWAIS 2025 is to reduce barriers to Naval aircraft integration across the air-launched weapons enterprise, with particular emphasis on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet platform. Technical briefings will feature experts from both PMA-201 and the F/A-18 and E/A-18G Program Office (PMA-265), covering topics such as accelerating integration milestones, early discovery approaches, risk reduction strategies, and typical clearance challenges for Navy platform testing and operations. The summit will also address business processes for collaborating with test squadrons like VX-23, expanding integration discovery opportunities beyond formal program-of-record activities. Participation in both the RFI and the summit is entirely voluntary and is not required for future contractor participation in potential solicitations or contracts. The event is specifically targeted toward industry parties interested in future opportunities related to air-launched weapons integration with Naval aircraft systems.
