Operational Description:

PM Tactical Radios (PM TR), Product Manager Handheld Manpack Small Form Fit (PdM HMS) Platform Integration effort is responsible for integrating Manpack and Leader radios into the Army’s wheeled and tracked vehicle fleet.  This RFI seeks information on Industry’s ability to manufacture radio installation kits.

Fabrication efforts

The purpose of this effort is to procure production installation kits for the integration of the tactical radios on a wide range of Army platforms. PM TR has designed, developed and validated requisite Product Level Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to produce the vehicle installation kits that are the basis for this effort. The Product Level TDPs contain all information that is necessary to produce the installation kits required under this effort, to include Bills of Materials (BOMs), data sheets, Computer-Aided Drawings (CAD), and vendor specification information required to produce, procure, fabricate and assemble complete vehicle installation kits.

Initially, PM TR will award a contract for Level III TDPs that are managed by PdM HMS. During the period of performance, PM TR intends to incorporate future Level III TDPs also applicable to HMS Radios, but which are developed under Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) and Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS & CSS) and potentially other platforms.

Below is a table that outlines the forecasted annual requirements the Army needs for the next five (5) Fiscal Years. If a contractual vehicle is awarded for this effort, the then-current actual quantities will be incorporated.

Quantities are subject to change depending on availability of funding and actual requirements determined by yearly fielding conferences or other factors.

Quantities may also be impacted by incorporation of future TDPs.
