About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has published a Special Notice seeking feedback on a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for a Phased Array Radar (PAR) Test Article requirement. NOAA is interested in acquiring a turn-key rotating PAR system that can serve as a proof-of-concept for a single-face rotating PAR weather surveillance radar.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to gather input from interested vendors on the draft PWS, which outlines five key tasks: (1) delivering the Radar Test Article (RTA), (2) constructing the Radar Test Facility (RTF), (3) installing and integrating the RTA, (4) providing documentation and training, and (5) offering support and maintenance services for five option years. NOAA anticipates issuing a cost-reimbursement contract for at least the RTA task and is requesting that vendors either request a meeting or submit written feedback by July 26, 2024. This Special Notice is issued solely for information and market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation.
