About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center at China Lake, California is conducting market research for a specialized procurement involving calibration, maintenance, and repair support for data acquisition equipment, specifically six acquisition modules (1-GN8103B, 1-GN840B, 1-GN1640B, 1-GN815, 1-GEN7tA, and 1-GEN17tA) along with annual renewal of Perception Software Maintenance and HBK Assured services. The requirement encompasses a comprehensive service package including calibration services for a Genesis data acquisition system with 96 modules and 15 Perception Software Maintenance Licenses, with all calibration work performed using standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and meeting MIL-STD-45662A and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 requirements. Contractors must be certified through Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or Export Controlled Information, with access limited to a single point of contact per CAGE code. Interested firms must submit capability statements by June 27, 2025, demonstrating their experience with electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance under NAICS code 541380. The evaluation will focus on the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work, along with their size classification relative to the $19 million size standard for small businesses.
This sources sought notice indicates no set-aside designation is currently in place, with the final acquisition strategy dependent upon responses received during this market research phase. The procurement is structured as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract spanning four years, providing extended warranty coverage for modules less than 10 years old. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice, though the NAICS code 541380 carries a small business size standard of $19 million in average annual receipts. Service performance will occur at the contractor's facility with inspection conducted at the Naval Air Warfare Center, and the government has updated the solicitation number from N6893625R035 to N6893625Q0077 while changing the classification from PSC code 7A21 to J066 and NAICS from 811210 to 541380. The contract will support ongoing operations requiring precision calibration and maintenance services for critical data acquisition systems used by the Navy.
