About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate has issued a special notice on behalf of the Peace Corps Office of External Affairs regarding their intent to award a sole source purchase order to Canto, Inc. This procurement falls under NAICS code 518210 for Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services. The notice was posted on August 14, 2025, with responses due by August 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST. The acquisition will be conducted under FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services, as well as FAR Part 12 for Commercial Products and Services. The procurement is being justified as sole source under FAR Part 13.501(a), indicating that only this responsible source can satisfy the agency's requirements.

The purpose of this procurement is to provide the Peace Corps with a centralized Digital Asset Manager (DAM) platform to coordinate and manage print, digital, and multimedia brand assets. The cloud-hosted system must be accessible via internet browsers, with Peace Corps preferring Edge and Chrome, though the platform must accommodate other browsers and mobile devices used by both internal and external users. Key capabilities include managing a growing content library of media assets, hosting images for the Peace Corps website and media library, and organizing brand-approved communications through customizable portals with varying user permission levels. Given the sole source nature of this procurement, only Canto, Inc. is eligible to participate, as the agency has determined that no other suppliers can meet their specific requirements. The tight deadline of four business days suggests this is likely a renewal or continuation of existing services rather than a new implementation.
