About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is conducting a Sources Sought notice for Carbon Monoxide Detectors to support Pine Bluff Arsenal. The procurement involves specific detector equipment, including SENSPOINT XCD UL/CSA CO detectors with 0-300 PPM settings, associated tubing, flow adaptors, calibration gases, and supplementary signal equipment like audible signal horns and mounting brackets. Interested vendors must submit responses electronically to Larry Owens (larry.w.owens4.civ@army.mil) by March 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM Central Standard Time. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Adobe Acrobat format, limited to 3 pages with Arial font at 12 points or larger. Vendors are required to provide comprehensive company information, including SAM registration, business classification, NAICS code details, and relevant experience for the 423690 NAICS category of Carbon Monoxide Detector merchant wholesalers.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside status for this procurement, meaning both small and large businesses can potentially compete. The total procurement appears to involve 12 sets of carbon monoxide detection equipment, including detectors, calibration kits, signal horns, mounting brackets, and power supplies. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical specifications suggest a specialized requirement for industrial or military-grade carbon monoxide detection systems. The procurement is currently in an information-gathering phase, with the government emphasizing that this is a voluntary request with no cost obligations. Vendors are encouraged to demonstrate their capability to provide the exact specifications outlined, which include precise technical requirements such as 110 dB audible signals, 3.3 kHz tone frequencies, and compatible AC power supply systems.
