Update #4 · Latest ·

Amendment 0002 issued to 140P1418R0020 for the following:

1)There was a question regarding a temporary electrical conduit that runs under the road during the site visit (Site Visit Photo attached). There is an electrical conduit buried on the road in that is shallow. NPS would like the conduit to be left under the roadway so if the current depth is not deep enough to perform the paving contract the contractor shall lower the level of the conduit under the roadway only deep enough to perform the project. The width is no greater than 20 feet.

2)Added Attachment 8 - Photo of Conduit from Site Visit

Update #3 ·

Amendment 0001 issued to 140P1418R0020 for the following:

1.Changed SOW Section 1.5 from the entire project shall not be more than 150 days to 90 days.

2.Added additional information: 2-inches of compacted gravel should be fine. Approved gravel sources are on the west side of the park. They will be allowed to use millings that are in place. The current gravel is at finish grade.

3.Added Attachment 7 - Approved Gravel Sources

4.Milling of the existing asphalt and reusing the recycled asphalt product as road base. No need for mix design. Contractor will need to haul away ripped up old asphalt.

5.The perimeter of the existing asphalt is the limit of the new asphalt.

6.If the contractor wants approval of a product then by all means they should submit it. This is the time to ask for those approvals if they have any. We are trying to make this a simple driveway project and not over complicate it.

7.Contractor Quality Control Plan Section 6.7.1 - not used.

8.Site visit changed to Tuesday, July 17th at 9:30AM

9.The preferred start date is after September 15, 2018 as the area is very busy.
