About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of State requires expansion of existing parking lots at the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia. The project involves earthworks, demolition, concrete works, paving, steel works, painting, minor electrical and plumbing works, tree removal and replanting across approximately 730 square meters to expand the staff parking areas west of the Chancery and north of the Utility Building. The contractor will provide temporary hoarding and the works will be conducted in phases to allow traffic flow. Questions are due by March 20, 2024 with responses and proposals.

There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The NAICS and PSC codes applicable to construction services will likely apply. As the incumbent, the current contractor may have an advantage in bidding if they have performed well. Budget details were not provided but the scope of works described suggests an award in the mid-range. Temporary hoarding and phased construction will be required across 7 months to complete expansion of over 700 square meters of parking area.
