Added: Nov 05, 2009 10:17 am The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Tallahassee, FL intends to make a single award for the provision of an Advanced Occupational Trainer - Parenting Instructor. The purpose of the classes are to train students for careers in the work force and to provide needed skills for REENTRY employment in the community and to provide skills for existing work details within the institution. The services would be provided at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Tallahassee, FL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611710. There will be approximately 20 inmate students per class. A session will equal one (1) hour. The Contractor will normally work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays) between the hours 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. The Contractor will be scheduled for four (4) to eight (8) hours per day. These hours will be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and Government. The estimated maximum number of sessions per year is 450. The individual(s)/organization will be qualified instructors, certifiable or certified by the State of Florida, Department of Education and have at least six months of current teaching. The Contractor shall possess a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and/or experience in instruction in a business or service related field. Experience working in a school or counseling setting is preferred. Certificates of Completion for each course will be awarded to each student upon successful completion. Documentation to support the instructor's education and experience must be provided at time of submission of quote. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The contract periods will consist of a base period and three 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitaion will be available on or about November 5, 2009 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information abouth this acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on or about November 30, 2009; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
