About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 39 units of Paradrogue Assembly components under NSN 7R-1680-016406638-JT, TDP VER 001, with delivery FOB origin. This procurement involves aircraft accessories and components that must be acquired from sources specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by DoD-STD-100, as the government lacks suitable technical data, data rights, or manufacturing knowledge to permit acquisition from alternative sources. The agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The government will consider all proposals received within 45 days of the notice publication date (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), with the due date established as September 15, 2025. Additionally, interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources. The notice does not identify any current incumbents or potential contractors by name, nor does it specify award values or budget ranges for the contract. The key numerical requirement is the procurement of exactly 39 units of the paradrogue assembly components, delivered FOB origin as specified in the technical data package version 001. The government has determined that this acquisition cannot follow the commercial item policies contained in FAR Part 12 based on market research, indicating this is likely a specialized military-specific component. The restrictive nature of the procurement stems from the lack of government-owned technical data and the requirement for sources to be specifically designated on controlled drawings, limiting the pool of qualified suppliers.
