About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for leasing two Travel Trailer (TT) lots/pads at Citrus River Village 2 in Inglis, Florida to provide temporary housing for disaster survivors of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The contract, awarded on March 28, 2025, is for an 18-month Direct Housing Assistance Program period, beginning from the Presidential Disaster Declarations on September 28, 2024, and October 11, 2024, respectively. Market research involved contacting ten potential vendors to determine average commercial park lot costs, with the justification for sole sourcing based on limited regional providers and the critical need to house survivors close to their original sites. The contract includes a base period of three months with five optional three-month extensions, funded by Disaster Relief Funds for DR-4828-FL and DR-4834-FL. While the specific vendor and exact contract value were not disclosed, the notice emphasizes the urgency of providing timely housing support to disaster survivors and preventing delays in housing placement.
