The containers will be manufactured through a stamping process involving sheet steel, with specific configurations for different mortar sizes: PA154 holds two 120mm cartridges, PA157 holds three 81mm cartridges, and PA191 holds eight 60mm cartridges. The United States Government will evaluate proposals using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Process, focusing on technically acceptable proposals with the lowest evaluation price. Interested offerors may submit proposals for one, two, or all three container types, with the solicitation anticipated to be posted in Fiscal Year 2025, Quarter 3 and responses due by June 12, 2025.
The procurement will be conducted through Full and Open Competition, with the potential for multiple awards across the three container types. If multiple awards are made, one contract will be reserved specifically for small businesses. The government anticipates awarding one or more Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for each container type, with five one-year ordering periods to support requirements from Fiscal Year 2025 through Fiscal Year 2028. The anticipated contract award is scheduled for September 2025, with manufacturing, inspection, assembly, packaging, and delivery to be completed according to the government's Technical Data Package and contract requirements. Potential offerors can direct any questions or requests to Cameron Sacco and Henry R. Churchill via their official military email addresses. The contract falls under the PSC Category 8140 for Ammunition and Nuclear Ordnance Boxes, Packages, and Special Containers, indicating its specialized military logistics and ammunition storage purpose.
