About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the overhaul of searchlights for the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, specifically the Part Number 727-1198/02 with NSN 6230-01-653-9052. The Army seeks contractors capable of overhauling and delivering these searchlights, though technical data for competitive procurement is unavailable and cannot be obtained economically. Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement package not exceeding ten pages with 10-point font minimum, demonstrating their ability to provide the required products and systems. Companies must also be approved sources by the System Readiness Directorate (SRD) and submit a Source Approval request (SAR) through the Technical Data Management Website. The deadline for responses is July 24, 2025, with submissions to be sent electronically to Contract Specialist Mariel L. Chambers.

No set-aside designation is currently specified for this procurement, though all small business set-aside categories will be considered based on market research responses. The only known current source is SIRIO Panel, Inc. (CAGE Code 7AW54), and this part has never been overhauled before with no existing repair documentation available. The resulting contract structure will be a 3-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm fixed-price contract, with the possibility of multiple awards depending on market research outcomes. The applicable NAICS code is 335999 with a size standard of 600 employees, and the procurement may ultimately proceed through full and open competition. The Army emphasizes that this is purely informational market research with no current funding available and no guarantee of contract award.
