About this opportunity
The US Coast Guard is seeking competitive quotations for the overhaul of cylinder assembly actuators, specifically two units of NSN 1650-01-282-3595, Part Number 3400770-9, through solicitation number 70Z03825QH0000085. This Request for Quotation follows Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines for commercial items and will result in a firm-fixed price purchase order. Contractors must be either an FAA Overhaul Facility or OEM Certified Overhaul Facility and provide airworthiness certification documentation with their quotations. The procurement will be evaluated on a lowest-priced, technically acceptable basis. Quotations are due by June 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, with submissions required via email to Shavon.M.Smith@uscg.mil and D05-SMBLRS-Procurement@uscg.mil, and an anticipated award date of June 26, 2025.
This solicitation is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 336413 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The initial order calls for two cylinder assemblies, but the Coast Guard has included an option under FAR 52.217-6 to increase the quantity by an additional two units at the same unit price, bringing the potential maximum to four units total within 365 days of the initial award date. No incumbent contractors are identified in the solicitation documents, and no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed. The procurement includes provisions for units that are beyond economic repair or have no fault found conditions. The solicitation notes that no drawings, specifications, or schematics are available from the agency, requiring contractors to rely on their existing technical knowledge and capabilities for these aircraft hydraulic system components.
